The Role: Purpose and Scope
The Data Capturer plays a crucial role in supporting the M&E Specialist by consolidating and capturing data from healthcare facilities and partner organizations. This position involves generating accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring the seamless management of vital information critical for program success.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer, you’ll take on a variety of tasks, including:
- Data Consolidation: Capturing and compiling weekly, monthly, and quarterly data for reporting purposes.
- Database Updates: Ensuring all data is accurately formatted, structured, and updated in relevant databases, including TIER.Net.
- Record Maintenance: Keeping a detailed register of facility data submission contacts and ensuring timely submissions.
- Issue Escalation: Notifying the M&E Specialist and relevant team members when data submissions are delayed or incomplete.
- Collaboration: Interacting with Department of Health (DoH) staff, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and project alignment.
- Administrative Tasks: Managing filing and additional administrative responsibilities as needed.

Essential Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Grade 12 certificate (matric) is required, while a tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Technical Expertise:
- Training or prior experience with TIER.Net software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years working with DoH data or Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems.
- Familiarity with public health data systems, including patient records and the District Health Information System (DHIS).
- Previous experience with data collection and capturing in the public health sector is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS: Strong understanding of HIV/AIDS and its associated healthcare frameworks.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in isiXhosa is an added advantage.
- Additional Requirements: A clean criminal record is mandatory.
